Mexico Missions Trip a Success

This summer our high school youth took a trip to Juarez Mexico to build a house for an underprivledged family.  The trip was literally one of the craziest I have ever been on.  We had two flat tires, were in the middle of Noah's flood, and only had two and a half days to build a house that normally takes four days.
But the students with our group are no normal set of kids, they are Western Kansas kids.  They worked themselves to the bone, working through scorching heat and freezing rain.  It was incredible to see how God took these 13 students and adults from Garden City, KS. and gave a family a real house.  Before this our Mexico family had been sleeping on dirt floors (the parents had anyway so their children could sleep in their one twin bed), they had no doors or windows and their house was nailed together palattes.  Now they have a 3 room house with electricity, doors that lock, and windows that shut (along with some nice window flower boxes one of the students made).  God truly worked that week and I think opened our students eyes up to the fact that they are so very needed in the Kingdom of God if we are going to really make an impact on this world!

Our youth ministry is so thankful to have a missions ministry that understands the importance of  missions trips like this!
